These are our personal Top 10 energy saving (and hence money and environment saving) tips.
Some of these may be different to what you’ve seen before, because we don’t believe in spending £000’s of pounds on a product that will save you £50 of energy a year!!!!
(dare I say double glazing, a new £1500 boiler or a wind turbine!!! )
We believe people want a product that costs £50 and will save them £25-50 of energy EVERY year!
So here’s our Low Cost & No Cost Top 10 Tips

Fit Novitherm Radiator Panels (obvious really since its our no.1 best seller) saving you £40 every year (£42.50 investment)
Fit low energy light bulbs

Ditch the StandBy switch
Turn it OFF when not in use. This is a seriously cheap and obvious energy saving tip. Think TV, video, DVD, games console, digi and sky box, hifi, you name it, if its on standby it’s probably using at least 50% of the electricity. (investment £0)
Lights on = People in the house +1
Turn the light out when you leave the room. My old Dad taught me this as a child. If there are 2 people in the house, he would only let us keep 3 lights on!! (investment £0)
Insulate your loft
You’d have thought everyone would have this covered, but ask yourself this: How deep is your loft insulation? Latest Building Regs figures for minimum depth is 11inches (270mm)
Don’t top it up with nasty itchy fibreglass, use Warmcel 100 instead (Which? magazine Best Buy November 2006). Comparable in cost and uses 10% of the energy to produce! Save £90-£100 a year (investment £400)
Fit a Fuel conditioner to your vehicle or heating boiler
Ecoflows magnet technology products have been saving people money for years, why not join them (investment £55)
Cup of Coffee? Only boil what you need

Wash clothes at 30 degrees C.
Try washing your clothes at 30 degrees C, this will save you approx 41% of your washing energy usage, according to recent research (12 Sept 2007). (investment £0)
